Cognitive Pilot wins The European Enterprise Awards 2021

Cognitive Pilot, an autonomous driving technology joint venture of Sberbank and Cognitive Technologies Group, a global technology company supporting the transportation and agriculture sectors with AI-based autonomous driving systems, has been awarded “The Best Global Agricultural AI Solution 2021” at The European Enterprise Awards, conducted by AI Global Media Ltd /UK/.

“The nominees and the winners of the award have demonstrated their outstanding results in a very difficult period of time,” states the press release of AI Global Media. “All the winners of The European Enterprise Awards are the bright representatives of the most dynamically developing markets, who enrich the economy year after year.”

“After two years of uncertainty across many industries, the economy has been shaken up and slowed many businesses to a halt. However, there are also many SMEs and independent businesses across the continent that have also thrived under these circumstances, and even reported record highs.”

The Cognitive Agro Pilot system, which was honored with the highest award, is an AI-based autonomous driving system for agricultural machinery that increases the efficiency of combine harvesters by up to 25%, cuts fuel costs, and prevents accidents on the field. The innovative system provides real-time situational awareness to ensure accurate autonomous driving and agriculture operations. Cognitive Agro Pilot detects and maneuvers around obstacles and hazards in the field using just one camera, seeing the environment precisely without the use of satellite signals or wireless connections.
